GRADUATE SITE ENGINEER

About the Role

We are currently looking for a Graduate Site Engineer to join the WEM team.

Reporting to the Site Manager, Site Engineers have the responsibility of planning and managing elements of our projects.

They must also ensure effective quality management processes, planning and programming of future works, forecasting, cost tracking processes and production progress.

Types of Projects

We have a vast range of size and job type currently underway.  Operating in Sydney's booming Northwest and Southwest region, these projects vary in size and complexity, affording significant experience to the right candidate.

Duties

  • Thorough understanding of the drawings, specifications and quality, WHS and environmental requirements for all site related activities.

  • Supporting the implementation of the project quality, WHS and environmental management plans on all projects.

  • Assisting daily project monitoring with respect to toolbox inspections, checklists, documentation and record keeping.

  • Assisting the monitoring and updating of the construction programme and site activity.

  • Ensuring materials are procured in advance of the requirements of the construction programme.

  • Assisting in monitoring daily work activities to maximise the utilisation of plant and resources.

  • Implementing improvements with respect to managing site related costs

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management

  • Commitment to health, safety, environment and quality policies and procedures

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • ​Strong relationship building, influencing and negotiation skills.

  • Confident in the use of Microsoft Office and CRMs.

  • ​Pride yourself in providing a professional and tiemly service to meet deadlines

  • Ability to maintain a can-do attitude within a team.
